Remove Paint Medicine Cabinet
Remove all shelves from the cabinet and set them aside.
Remove paint medicine cabinet. Proceed to remove the screws inside the cabinet attaching it to the wall. Set the door and screws aside. Set all of these items outside of the work area. This stuff dissolves rust and makes a smoother surface for painting.
You can scratch the counter with your tools or drip paint all over it. This will also remove any odors from moisture. If the cabinet has built in lighting turn off the circuit breaker connected to the bathroom. To avoid damaging the counter cover it with a drop cloth or an old towel.
Empty the medicine cabinet and take it down from the wall. Remove the door by unscrewing the hinges with a screwdriver. Remove the cabinet door by loosening the screws attaching the door to the hinges. Use the putty knife to remove caulk that may have been used to seal the medicine cabinet to the wall.
Place it on a flat surface. Take the screwdriver and remove the screws on the hinges that hold the cabinet doors. Remove everything inside the medicine cabinet including the shelves if they re not attached. Removing your surface mount medicine cabinet can damage your bathroom counter if you fail to prepare.
If your medicine cabinet is plastic or glass spray a bit of glass cleaner or another gentle cleanser on the shelves and wipe off with paper towels or a clean rag.
